involves the connectivity between the patient or consulting
physician with a specialty / consulting center with the
help of Video Conferencing equipment , which can be connected
through the ISDN lines, Leased lines or V-sat connection.
A Consulting center has various medical equipment like
CT scan, X – ray machine TMT, ECG machine, color
doppler that have been interfaced with the Dicom Software
whereby the specialist at the specialty center will be
able to view the live medical images of patient. Consulting
center has a scanner for scanning X-Ray, ECG and other
reports and transmits these to the specialty center with
help of Video Conferencing equipment. |
